TTATOG and I (GYA) had the privilege today to see DJ MacHale live on his tour.
He was amazing.
There is always a scare of seeing a great author, and he just doesn’t live up to expectations, but DJ delivered. He was extremely funny, intuitive, friendly, and most of all, he was very considerate of those who had and had not read his latest book, Raven Rise.
So to all you out there who are indifferent–go and see him. It’s well worth your time (and you can get a book or two signed!)

For those of you who have read book nine, here are some questions we have yet to answer. (Scroll over)
-When Bobby leaves “Traveler land place,” will he be alone, or will other Travelers be with him?
-Are Mark/Courtney dead?
-Is Press back for good?
-Who is SD?
-Who is Bobby for that matter?
-What is the nature of the Travelers? (SD sure knows, or does he?)
-Will the Travelers still exist if the battle is won? Lost?
-What will happen to Bobby if they win. Will he wake up and find himself fourteen again? How is he going to pass his time if they are the last generation and he has no one to pass his knowledge on to? (Will he marry Loor when the whole thing ends?)
There are many, many more. Feel free to post some of your own questions. Unfortunitally, all we can do now is speculate. It’s going to be a looooooooooooooooooong year.

ladies and gentle men, bloggers of all ages this that and the other guy has come up with an idea that is so genius my head would explode if i even began to think what i was thinking.
many people ask “why is it that people are so willing to trust religous figures (ie rabbis and preists) as channels to talk to god?” and today i realized why. people think of god as a figure that is always willing to pay attention and listen and help you with your problems. but unfortuantly in todays world god isnt doing it concisely. so somewhere along the line some one (who was a very good and patient person) felt they had a connection with the big guy upstairs. so through their exelent communication skills they began to reach out, thus people felt that these people where given the ability to have enough compassion to serve as gods little helpers.
what do you think?

Next week on the mall there will be a celebration for the 60th anniversary of the modern state of Israel.
It is amazing how Israel has lasted so long. Surrounded by Arab countries who want to blow them off the map, the current govt. is giving away land faster than Bush is losing popularity (or what he has left of it), and through all of this Israel lives on.
I have personally been to Israel on two occasions, and both times the experience was unbelievable. I would recommend for anybody to go by all means.
All I mean to say is it’s hard to believe Israel has lasted for so long, and you can not help but think God may have a hand in it.
More on this celebration and it’s significance coming soon,

Just when we thought the AL East would stay the same forever . . . Yanks in last, and Rays battling for first. Talk about “doing more with less”, and “you can’t buy championships.”
Go Sox!

as if it wasn’t crazy enough the day after this post the Yankees begin to bounce back, the red sox begin to fall and the orioles suck again.
this that and the other guy, the cynical realist

DJ MacHale, the author of the Pendragon series announced a little while ago that he has finished his first draft of the final book. He says it has a “killer ending.”
I hope the pun was intended.

I give my respect to John Lester.
Why? It takes a special person to recover from cancer and throw a no-no. Cancer kills millions every year, and I think it’s great some are recovering and moving on. He should be an inspiration for others battling the awful disease.
-GYA
um i agree with all of this but you make it sound like cancer is a life choice when you said “recovering and move on” im sure any one would give anything to recover from cancer and become a legendary pitcher (even for the red sox) but unfortunately very few can
